Overview
Rignetic (rignetic.com) is a PC gaming guides, news, reviews, and setup publication. This policy explains what personal data we collect from visitors, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights over it. We collect only what we need to run the newsletter and to honor your cookie choices — we do not require an account to read the site.
What We Collect
- Newsletter email address. If you subscribe using the newsletter form in the site footer, the email address you enter is submitted to our
/api/subscribeendpoint and stored in asubscriberstable in our Cloudflare D1 database, so we can send you our roundup of guides, reviews, and setup deals. - Cookie consent choice. When you interact with the cookie banner shown on every page (Accept, Decline, or Manage), your choice is saved in your browser's local storage and also submitted to our
/api/cookie-consentendpoint, which records it in acookie_consenttable in Cloudflare D1. This lets us honor your choice and demonstrate that consent was recorded. - Advertising and analytics data (once enabled). Rignetic works with third-party advertising and analytics partners to keep the site free to read. Once a partner's cookies are active on this site, and only if you have accepted non-essential cookies, those partners may collect standard technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and device or browser type. We do not knowingly collect payment information, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data through this site.
Why We Collect It
We collect your email address only when you actively submit the newsletter form — this is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. We record your cookie choice so that we can honor it on future visits and, once advertising is enabled, avoid loading non-essential cookies for visitors who have declined them.
How Long We Keep It
Subscriber email addresses are kept for as long as your subscription is active, and are deleted on request or when you unsubscribe. Cookie consent records are kept for a limited period (typically up to 12 months) so that your choice persists across visits; after that period, you may be asked to confirm your preference again.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Subscriber and cookie-consent records are stored in Cloudflare D1, a database service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. as part of the same Cloudflare infrastructure that hosts this website. We do not maintain separate servers or copies of this data outside Cloudflare's platform.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
Rignetic does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
Third-Party Processors
The following third parties may process data on our behalf or on their own behalf as part of operating this site:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, application infrastructure, and database storage (Cloudflare D1).
- Third-party advertising and analytics partners — once connected, to serve ads and measure site performance, and only for visitors who have accepted non-essential cookies. No specific advertising network is active on Rignetic as of this policy's last update.
Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you — for example, your subscriber email address or cookie consent record — by emailing contact@rignetic.com. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, and you can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Manage" option in the cookie banner.
Children's Privacy
Rignetic is a general-audience gaming publication and is not directed at, or knowingly marketed to, children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where a higher age threshold applies under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, once a specific advertising or analytics partner is connected. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
